"You have to be prepared for people to hate you for being yourself. Average people love to be average, because nobody bothers them."

When you spend so much time focusing on what you want to accomplish, that when you finally get it, you notice that everything else that should be important to you is missing.

I’ve always wanted to ditch Ohio and go to college on either coast where I could watch the sunset and live for myself… I’m attending Ohio State because that’s what’s expected of me.

When you realize you really don’t have anything in common with your friends. When you have goals and dreams and things you want to accomplish and all they care about it small town issues that seem so irrelevant.

When you realize some of the best nights you’ve had your entire senior year were spent alone, writing a paper for AP lit and they were fun only because you got to write about something you don’t really understand, but you caught on as you kept typing.

When the last thing on your mind is actually going on a date.

So when you’re starting college at a school you don’t want to go to, are you’re own best friend and are more single than the lady with 27 cats. I guess this is the perfect position for me. I realize what I have and realize what I don’t want. Things aren’t terrible, so I can’t say they can only get better. I’m just walking through the motions.

End thought.
